1 Month today

Image
Wow it is so hard to believe that one month ago today we had these two cutie pies!!

3 weeks already?!!

Image
Wow so much has happened in the last 3 weeks! I have tried to post photos from home but something is wrong with our computer and it takes like over an hour so I came to work to do this. Lets go back to Monday morning November 8th.... I woke up to go to the bathroom (like I do most mornings around 4) and as soon as I walked through the bathroom door my water broke. Well I was pretty sure it did but having not discussed this with my doctor yet because I was not scheduled to deliver until Dec. 1st I wasn't positive. I wrapped myself up in a towel and went to wake up Wayne to ask him how you know if your water broke... His response was to immediately look at my side of the bed then say "well if you have to ask me it probably did"! We then called the doctor and slowly made our way to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital around 5ish (I had to finish packing my bag you know) and were taken in to a room right away. They checked me out and said "Yep you are ready

Baby Shower

Image
Here is the cake This one kinda shows the rainbow Kara and I My mom and I Jen and I Saturday my mom put on a baby shower for me and did a great job! Our theme was Noah's Ark. She had a cake made to look like the ark and she did a huge rainbow of balloons over the counter in the kitchen. It was so cute!!! I think it was a sucess. We had many from out of town and lot of friends that live here, all in all I think there was about 30 people! I hope fun was had by all?! Thank you to all of you that came!!!

Postions and Dates

So our children have moved again... originally they sat in my stomach one on top of the other with both their heads on the left then a few weeks ago they both flipped to have their heads on the right (although still top and bottom). Today we went for a visit and the ultrasound showed them side by side one on the right one on the left. Of course they couldn't both be easy so baby A is head down and baby B is head up (which explains a lot of the discomfort I have with breathing, I knew someone was hitting me!) So as of right now our doctor has scheduled a C-section for Dec. 1st. I am partly happy and partly not. I really would like to have them in December (always wanted december babies) but 5 weeks seems so far away!! I will pray that baby B flips to be head down so that we don't have to have the c-section because I really don't want that. But it will be what it will be! So excited for my shower tomorrow!!! Can't wait to see everyone! :) PS: they were moving so much we w

Computers Viruses....

You know it is hard to remember a time when we all didn't have computers, cell phones, etc... I am reminded of this when my computer crashes (like it did last Friday) from a nasty virus at work and I realize how much stuff I have on it that makes it very hard for me to function without. I am still in the process of trying to get it up and running so in the mean time I have been working on another computer in the office and going into my emails, etc.. remotely. It is very frustrating! I guess I have gotten into a pattern of doing things a certain way and now that things are all different it throws me for a loop. :( Ok guess I'll stop complaining now....

Photo Shoot

Last week Wayne and I met up with our wonderful friend Bri who does fantastic photography and she did a photo shoot for us. Bri just has a great way about her that makes you feel comfortable taking photos! We had such a great time (goofing off in some of the shots) and before we knew it the sun was going down. Thank you Bri for doing such an amazing job with us!!! You have a wonderful gift!! http://www.briandersonphotos.com/blog/2010/10/2836/

Major Phoenix Storm

Image
This is what caused all the damage to our yard! Hail the size of golfballs!! At least we were luck because many people we know had broken windows and lots of dents in their cars!! I felt so bad when I got home (Wayne was at work) because he had worked for hours on the yard the day before re-seeding with winter grass etc... All for nothing now as he will have to re-do it all. Small section of the pool. Chloe was trying to figure out what was in it. All that black stuff is Manure! It was all over the back of the house (windows, doors, ceiling of the patio, walls etc...) so gross! I had to hose it all off. I know it could have been a lot worse! Luckily all of our trees survived and just littered the yard with leaves and branches but I think Wayne may need to rent a dumpster to get rid of it all! LOL I hear that we are supposed to get more rain later today.... Hopefully not this bad again!!

Did you know.......

Image
Did you know October is National Popcorn Poppin Month?! It is a time to celebrate the granddaddy of all snack foods. Popcorn balls were once the quintessential Halloween handout. The house that gave them away was always the hit of the neighborhood! Following is a recipe to make Halloween Jack-O'-Lantern Popcorn Balls Have fun!! 3 quarts popped popcorn 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter or margarine 3 cups miniature marshmallows 3 tablespoons (1/2 of a 3-ounce box) orange gelatin dessert mix Candy corn, jellybeans and sour green apple candy sticks, licorice string, dried fruit, etc. • Spray a large mixing bowl lightly with cooking spray and place popcorn inside. • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in marshmallows and gelatin dessert powder until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over popcorn and mix well until coated. • Spray hands with cooking spray and press firmly to form into balls. Place balls on wax paper. Press candy decorations into ball

Short trip

Wayne and I decided to take a day trip up to Payson on Saturday to just get away from the heat and spend some quiet time reflecting on things. Our original plan was to go about 45 minutes out of Payson to a place called Willow Spring Lake but unfortunately I started having some contractions and we didn't feel it was wise to continue on.... So we found this little lake and decided to hang out there for awhile. It was so nice in the shade! (unfortunately our idea to beat the heat didn't work so well as it was in the 90's up there!) Here are a few shots of us hanging out at the lake. Chloe liked it as there were ducks to watch! :) Ah a man and his dog.... I see a duck!!!

From bad to really really good!!!

I will start out by saying this is a little bit of a long post... So last Friday night was an odd night.... I started out by going to dinner with my mom and John so that didn't put me home until about 7ish. I always know that if I am past 5:30-6:00 I could possibly walk into a mess since it is getting harder for Neon to hold going to the bathroom. So when I got home I was so happy to see that he was still sleeping soundly on the hallway floor. I immediately got him up and took him outside where he proceeded to pee on the rug right outside the back door (guess he held it as long as he could). So, being pregnant and not really thinking very well I immediately thought I have to get the watering can from under the sink to wash off the rug before it is ruined!!! (as I realized later I could use the hose that is right next to the door!) Anyway... as I went into the kitchen (which most of you know is a few steps from the back door) I saw Chloe our other dog go flying past the door!!

Budda Belly

Image
Ok so I took 2 photos of myself at work for you girls. They are by no means good photos and I can't believe I am even posting them for you, but you wanted to see how big I am so here ya go... :)
I really haven't been putting much on my post accept ultra sound photos which is nice, but also shows that I don't really have a life! LOL I haven't had much going on lately... We finally got a new tree for the backyard! We've only been wanting this for 3 years. Now I can't wait for it to grow! Animals are good. Neon is having a harder time every day just getting up and moving around. I feel so bad for him because he is blind and deaf so has to feel his way around and often just gives up and lays back down. It is so hard to watch your first baby getting old! Seems like just yesterday I was picking him up to start his training, I'm so glad he didn't pass so he could spend his life with me!!! He is the best dog ever!! Umm let's see what else... belly is getting big! Although people keep telling me I don't look as big as they thought I would (they could just be being nice) I feel huge! Went to the mall the other night with my friend Pierette

Ultrasound Photo Updates

Image
Ok, I turned the photos sideways so that it kinda looks like they are sitting up. (Seems to be the only way my mom can tell so I thought it might help others as well) We are just shy of 24 weeks.... Only about 12 weeks left to go WooHoo!! Wow some days it just feels like it is flying by!!! Guess I better get crackin on the room! We went for a check up today and I was telling the doc that I thought baby B was just kickin up a storm, but she informed me that it could actually be either one because both of their feet are right next to each other. Baby B is definitely the one cutting off my air supply though... sitting right under my breast bone it feels like!! Baby A is sitting farther down so my bladder gets hit with that one. LOL The first photo is Baby A (Shake) I thought it was a nice profile, we had another one of a wave (always seems to be doing that!) but it was a little blurry. Second photo is Baby B (Bake) sucking a thumb!

Nice Weekend

Since I don't have any plans for traveling before the babies are born we have been hanging out around town a lot. My mom has been a jet setter for the past couple weekends which is nice because she deserves it! She never goes anywhere, just works works works, so it was good to see her excited about traveling to Seattle and Montana. We had a pretty nice weekend! Friday night we did taco night and watched a movie at home. Saturday I had to do a little work but Wayne came with me then we headed over to Babies R Us to check things out. I had Wayne test drive the stroller that I really want (and he really liked it too) then we headed over to the rocking chair area and stayed there forever testing out all the chairs. I think that we narrowed it down to 2 different ones (geez who knew those things could be so expensive! lol) We then decided to go home and relax for a bit before heading over to Wayne's brother Guys for an hour or so before going to dinner with Wayne's crew.

Updated photos

Ok by now it should be apparent that I am not to good with posting these photos, but at least I think you can get the general idea. First set is the little body profiles, second is a closer head shot and third is baby A (Shake) waving :)

Longing for....

Image
You know when I hear that our weather is going to be 108 (although I have to admit that is better than 114 like it has been) I long for the summer days of Montana! I'm so bummed that we are going to miss our annual MT trip this year :( I guess I can sit and look at our pictures from last year and pretend I am there sipping coffee in the morning down by the lake, reading a book on the deck in the afternoon, wake surfing in the evening hours.... At least I can dream about next year bringing 2 little ones with to share in the fun! :)

Our little Hemi baby...

Image
Hemi: an internal combustion engine in which the combustion chambers are of hemispherical form. (Boils down to FAST!) Our Hemi was definitely fast... he would race around the house from room to room jumping over furniture and attacking unsuspecting toys! Hemi was one of the best kitties we have ever had. He was almost more like a dog than a cat. He bonded with us instantly! We loved this cat so much!! Last week we had to do one of the hardest things as an owner of a "furry kid". We had to make the decision to put our little 1 year old kitty to sleep. About 6 weeks ago we noticed that Hemi had what seemed like a kitty cold when we returned from vacation, so Wayne brought him in and got him on some antibiotics. He seemed to get a little better but did not seem to full recover like he should. About 2 1/2 weeks ago or so I noticed that his belly seemed to be very bloated. Wayne decided to take him back in to the vet in case he had a blockage and the news he was given wa

California Trip

Image
Here are a few photos from our recent trip out to Oceanside, CA. The weather was pretty cold in the high 60's (well compared to Phx @ 114) Wayne with Hailey & Neveah. They loved that he would stay down in the water with them Wayne with Cassie & Madison on the Pier Cassie, Madison and I on the Pier Wayne and I on the pier

West Bound

Heading out to California 'til Monday.... WooHoo! Hopefully it will be cooler out there than here! Geez it was 101 before 9:00 this morning!!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Image
Hope everyone has a day filled with fun and laughter with friends and family around! We are having a few people over to lounge at the pool and have a BBQ, what's the 4th without a BBQ right?! Mom and John were lucky enough to make a trip up to Montana for the week and are having a great time. She told me last night that they bought so many fireworks that they were going to put on a show for 2 nights.... Now I am not talking little things like sparklers and those little buzzy things on the ground (can you tell I'm from AZ where we are not allowed to have fireworks and I don't know what things are) I'm talking big fireworks! John built a huge thing that sits on the deck to the lake and shoots them off!!!! Oh did I forget to mention that the weather is absolutley amazing up there right now! It's only going to be 103 here today!! LOL Well at least it isn't 114 like the other day, woohoo!! Maybe next year we'll be able to go with babies in tow.. LOL This i

.......Shake N Bake........

Image
These might be difficult to understand but we wanted to share them anyway, they kinda look like little aliens right now. LOL Baby B (aka: Bake) was being very difficult today and did not want to be photographed much. Baby A (aka: Shake) was really liking the photos and we were able to see a lot more of him or her. Everything is looking good with me and the babies! We go back for another ultrasound in 3-4 weeks. :) Baby B (aka: Bake) squishing its head and trying to hide. Baby A (aka: Shake) waving to us

Tada!

Image
Ok, so it is not the greatest photo, but at least you can see a bump. :) This was taken at 14 weeks. I will try to keep you posted as the weeks go by with new photos. We have a DR. appt. Wednesday and get our first sonogram, so we are excited!!! More to come soon!

Photo

Ok, I know that I said I would try to post a photo but honestly I just haven't had a day where I feel like I look good enough to have a photo taken of myself. lol We are going to a friend's surprise birthday party tonight, so maybe I will have a few photos taken there. Shout out to Honesty (my cousin) Congrat's on your new baby boy!!! John Dall Clement IV, wow what a name to live up to! They are just going to call him Dall since JD is already taken by her husband. Have a great weekend everyone!!! Happy Father's Day! (even to those of you who only have furry kids!)

.....It's Official....

Image
I came across this photo and thought it was so cute. We are now 13 weeks so only about 24 or so to go! I've been thinking and would like some participation on all your parts.... I would like to come up with 2 names that we can call our little ones until they arrive. It just seems weird to refer to them as thing 1 and thing 2 (you know from Dr. Seuss) or the little ones, etc... since we are not going to find out the sexes until they are born. Wayne is super excited about taking some photos so we will probably do that later this week. We just got home from a week in Cabo so are still unpacking etc... but we will post them soon! Have a great week!

New look to the yard

Image
So this weekend my dad came over and he & Wayne decided to give our front and back yard a little makeover. They started out by cutting a lot of branches off the trees by the pool (which I was not very fond of, I like lots of green). They then moved over to the side of the house where we have our "dog run" and pulled out the planters that went the whole length of it. After they made a trip to the dump with all the wood and rebar they decided to stop at a gravel shop and pick up a TON of gravel to spread out in the front yard. We were trying to decide what to do with all the dirt from the now demolished planter and Wayne came up with a good idea.... Let's make hills in the front yard. So for the rest of the afternoon they took turns filling up the wheel barrow and hauling dirt out to the front and contouring the yard. Then they unloaded all the gravel from the truck and made the yard look all pretty!!! The end result is very nice! Now we still have a little more
