MD... Miracle Dog

OK so miracle dog, as I like to now refer to him, seems to have made a full recovery which kinda makes me think... Was he just doing this so we would spend a lot of money on him? See our response to whether we would put him down? For attention and wanting to go to work with mom? As of today you would never know that a week ago Neon could not stand, walk or go to the bathroom without assistance! I just hope that I do not have to go through this again anytime soon, although when you have a 12 year old dog you know it will come sooner or later, I just hope later. Although it does make me sit and reflect all things that we have been through together! As you said Ron, I remember him as a little puppy in his green guide dog jacket going to work with me, classes in college, movies, dinner, even a horrible blind date! LOL He is the best dog ever and it will be a miracle to find another to ever take his place!!

Wow he is a miracle dog! Glad to read that he is doing better. I can't believe he went on a blind date with you - lol! =)

Yeah it is kinda funny when you are training a seeing eye dog and he goes on a blind date with you!

Ultrasound Photo Updates

Ok, I turned the photos sideways so that it kinda looks like they are sitting up. (Seems to be the only way my mom can tell so I thought it might help others as well) We are just shy of 24 weeks.... Only about 12 weeks left to go WooHoo!! Wow some days it just feels like it is flying by!!! Guess I better get crackin on the room! We went for a check up today and I was telling the doc that I thought baby B was just kickin up a storm, but she informed me that it could actually be either one because both of their feet are right next to each other. Baby B is definitely the one cutting off my air supply though... sitting right under my breast bone it feels like!! Baby A is sitting farther down so my bladder gets hit with that one. LOL The first photo is Baby A (Shake) I thought it was a nice profile, we had another one of a wave (always seems to be doing that!) but it was a little blurry. Second photo is Baby B (Bake) sucking a thumb!

Almost a week...

It has been almost a week since I said Goodbye... Last Saturday was probably the second hardest day of my life so far, it was the day that I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Neon of 13 1/2 years. My mind was and has been flooded with so many memories since that day.  I got Neon through the Guide Dog program to raise as a seeing eye dog.  He was special because they had brought him in from NY so that he would become a breeder with the CA program.  I remember the day I received the news that my puppy was here and I was getting a golden!  I arrived at the puppy ceramony Dec. 21, 1997 and fell in love for the first time in my life!!! Neon was only 8 weeks old when I got him.  He went everywhere with me... movies, restaurants, college, etc.. until he was 18 months old at which time I had to return him to the program (and I thought I would never see him again).  I received a call from the school about 6 months later letting me know that they were releasing Neon from the program because of

.......Shake N Bake........

These might be difficult to understand but we wanted to share them anyway, they kinda look like little aliens right now. LOL Baby B (aka: Bake) was being very difficult today and did not want to be photographed much. Baby A (aka: Shake) was really liking the photos and we were able to see a lot more of him or her.
