Little California Sun

We just returned from our yearly trip to California with all of Wayne's family.  This year his sister from TX came along with her 2 daughters that we have not seen in about 5 years making our group total 22!  Our stay started out a little rough as our hotel did not make us aware of the fact that the local train ran past our window every 40 minutes (including the night!)  Guess our first clue should have been the ear plugs they left on the night stand!!  After one night of that I went to the front desk and asked if we could move to the ocean side of the hotel and they had a room that was a major upgrade from our standard hotel room that they gave us (without the upgraded price!!!)  It was awesome!!  We had our own kitchen, washer/dryer, HUGE bathroom, basically it was a 1 bedroom condo.  That made our trip soooo much better!!!  Made mommy less cranky too!  The other plus was that we were right next door to Wayne's sisters instead of the normal 15-20 minute drive away.  We had a great trip!  Cole seemed to love the sand and would go home exhausted every day and crash!  I think that we are definitely going to try for this place every year!

Ok, I turned the photos sideways so that it kinda looks like they are sitting up. (Seems to be the only way my mom can tell so I thought it might help others as well) We are just shy of 24 weeks.... Only about 12 weeks left to go WooHoo!! Wow some days it just feels like it is flying by!!! Guess I better get crackin on the room! We went for a check up today and I was telling the doc that I thought baby B was just kickin up a storm, but she informed me that it could actually be either one because both of their feet are right next to each other. Baby B is definitely the one cutting off my air supply though... sitting right under my breast bone it feels like!! Baby A is sitting farther down so my bladder gets hit with that one. LOL The first photo is Baby A (Shake) I thought it was a nice profile, we had another one of a wave (always seems to be doing that!) but it was a little blurry. Second photo is Baby B (Bake) sucking a thumb!

.......Shake N Bake........

These might be difficult to understand but we wanted to share them anyway, they kinda look like little aliens right now. LOL Baby B (aka: Bake) was being very difficult today and did not want to be photographed much. Baby A (aka: Shake) was really liking the photos and we were able to see a lot more of him or her. Almost a week...

It has been almost a week since I said Goodbye... Last Saturday was probably the second hardest day of my life so far, it was the day that I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Neon of 13 1/2 years. My mind was and has been flooded with so many memories since that day.  I got Neon through the Guide Dog program to raise as a seeing eye dog.  He was special because they had brought him in from NY so that he would become a breeder with the CA program.  I remember the day I received the news that my puppy was here and I was getting a golden!  I arrived at the puppy ceramony Dec. 21, 1997 and fell in love for the first time in my life!!! Neon was only 8 weeks old when I got him.  He went everywhere with me... movies, restaurants, college, etc.. until he was 18 months old at which time I had to return him to the program (and I thought I would never see him again).  I received a call from the school about 6 months later letting me know that they were releasing Neon from the program because of
