Gramps

Sometimes its hard for me to put into words what I feel for my grandpa but here are just a few that come to my mind....
Godly, Loved, Respected, Looked up too, Wise, Knowledgeable, Scholar

I am so glad that I was able to spend the last 6 months going over weekly to see Gramps before he passed away Tuesday morning.  It had become our Wednesday night ritual to take Cole over to spend a few hours and talk about our week.  It's hard to believe that he was 90 years old, he was as sharp as a tack too!!  He loved aviation and was an instructor in a B17 in WWII.  But more than anything he loved the Lord!  He became a Pastor in New York where he was born and raised. After starting out in Beacon NY he moved his family out to become the head chaplain at the VA in Phoenix where he retired after 30 years of service.
He was a man of few words but I always knew that he loved me!  I feel so blessed to have spent my whole life near him!!!   You will be greatly missed!!
Until we meet again.... Absent from the body, Present with the Lord!!
