Camping adventure

Hwy 151 in Flagstaff that we traveled to our camping site for the next 3-4 days!

Our weekend consisted of camping!! Woo Hooo!! As we sat and thought about it we realized that we had not been camping in 4 long years! The last camping adventure we had was when Wayne took me up to the Rim and proposed (and to be honest I couldn't wait to get home and make our announcement so we didn't end up staying to do any camping!) So we thought what should we do this weekend since Wayne had the whole 4 days off... well since it was pretty much 4 years to the date of his proposal we decided camping was the best choice!! We knew that it was predicted to rain... and rain it did... but we still had a great time building fires, hiking, romping around on the ranger (Wayne's friend lent us) and playing games. The dogs had a wonderful time too! Chloe seemed to enjoy joining us on the front seat of the ranger as we raced full bore down the wet and muddy roads while Neon stayed back at camp catching up on his beauty sleep!

We ended up moving our site on Saturday because a few other families showed up with dogs and chose to camp very close to us.... So on to a better spot we went! As I took a mid-morning nap Wayne went galavanting off in the ranger and found the most fabulous spot ever!!! What an awesome husband I have!! Now I can not devolge the location of this spot as then everyone would want to flock to it, but if you are interested in finding it you will need our help as it is very far off the beaten path, so we would be more than happy to join you and anyone else in camping there again. Believe me it was the best spot for numerous families as well!

Ok, I turned the photos sideways so that it kinda looks like they are sitting up. (Seems to be the only way my mom can tell so I thought it might help others as well) We are just shy of 24 weeks.... Only about 12 weeks left to go WooHoo!! Wow some days it just feels like it is flying by!!! Guess I better get crackin on the room! We went for a check up today and I was telling the doc that I thought baby B was just kickin up a storm, but she informed me that it could actually be either one because both of their feet are right next to each other. Baby B is definitely the one cutting off my air supply though... sitting right under my breast bone it feels like!! Baby A is sitting farther down so my bladder gets hit with that one. LOL The first photo is Baby A (Shake) I thought it was a nice profile, we had another one of a wave (always seems to be doing that!) but it was a little blurry. Second photo is Baby B (Bake) sucking a thumb!

Almost a week...

It has been almost a week since I said Goodbye... Last Saturday was probably the second hardest day of my life so far, it was the day that I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Neon of 13 1/2 years. My mind was and has been flooded with so many memories since that day.  I got Neon through the Guide Dog program to raise as a seeing eye dog.  He was special because they had brought him in from NY so that he would become a breeder with the CA program.  I remember the day I received the news that my puppy was here and I was getting a golden!  I arrived at the puppy ceramony Dec. 21, 1997 and fell in love for the first time in my life!!! Neon was only 8 weeks old when I got him.  He went everywhere with me... movies, restaurants, college, etc.. until he was 18 months old at which time I had to return him to the program (and I thought I would never see him again).  I received a call from the school about 6 months later letting me know that they were releasing Neon from the program because of

.......Shake N Bake........

These might be difficult to understand but we wanted to share them anyway, they kinda look like little aliens right now. LOL Baby B (aka: Bake) was being very difficult today and did not want to be photographed much. Baby A (aka: Shake) was really liking the photos and we were able to see a lot more of him or her.
