Wow, it is hard for me to think that Christmas is just 1 week away! Wayne did a great job in doing almost all of the shopping and my job is to wrap! I like wrapping gifts anyway, so it works out perfect for me. Tonight we are going to make more cookies to give out to our neighbors! Only 3 more days until we leave for our Pinetop trip with friends, we will be there for 3 days then come home for Christmas, then head out for Colorado!! Woo Hoo!! Well, I better run, have to go pick up my car (having it serviced before our trip) Safety first, don't want any issues like our last trip to CO! Those of you who have seen the pictures and heard the story of our near death know what I am talking about.... :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Gift Exchange

Wayne got the best gift at our white elephant gift exchange... a really old fashion head warmer!! Now we can hit the slopes in Colorado for my Birthday!! Woo Hoo!!

Neat Website

Christmas trees

Image
Here are our 2 Christmas tree's. The top one is a real one that we put in our family room with colored lights. The one on the bottom is the artificial one that has all of the ornaments on it that are from when I was little. They both turned out great!! If you click on the picture it should bring it up in a large size to see some of the ornaments.

Working hard.... or hardly working... You decide

I have to tell you all that I am so proud of my mom for raising me & teaching me to be so independent and to be able to do all of the things that I am able to do (as good as any guy!). Yesterday I unloaded 3,000lbs of wood flooring with the forklift and I have to say.... I love driving that thing! It is sooo much fun! I zip here and there in the back lot moving things to and fro while all the guys next door at the blueprint company sit outside watching and cheering me on! I think that it is funny for them to watch me dressed in my nice work clothes with sneakers on! LOL This morning I helped to unload (50) 85lbs rolls of rubber carpet pad with John. Who says I don't work out?! Well, I just wanted to acknowledge my great mom for teaching me how to work hard with the best of them! Granted I move a little slower now that I did in my 20's, but it could be worse I could be hiring labor guys and sitting on my butt directing everyone, Not for me!! That is a small look int...

Only 21 shopping days left.....

Well it is starting to feel a little bit more like Christmas in our house! Mom and I put up a small tree in our living room over the weekend and decorated it with all the ornaments from when I was a little kid. It was fun to go through everything and have my mom remind me where each one came from, most were handmade by both of my grandmothers!! Wayne and I then spent most of the day Sunday decorating the whole front yard!!! It looks like a candy land! :) I will try to post some photos in the next few days. I also put up lighted garland around the house. We are going to go this weekend to get a small live tree for our family room as Wayne really enjoys the live ones! :)

Christmas already?!

Well is everyone as stuffed as me from Thanksgiving?!! I think I gained 3 lbs just from the desserts! LOL I hope everyone had a great day with their families. Wayne had to work so I braved the festivities alone... Went to my grandparents and ate the biggest dinner I think that we have ever had there... As Gramps said "you would never know we are supposed to be in a recession". After being there for several hours I then headed of to Wayne's family for more dessert. We played games and had a great time!! So now today we start the Christmas decorating! It is still hard for me to believe that it is Christmas time already. Don't get me wrong it is my favorite time of year, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet. I better get going... I am meeting mom for coffee then the 2 of us are going to decorate the inside of the house while Wayne is working then we will light up the outside tomorrow after church. Happy Holidays!!

3 years ago today

Wow, it is hard to believe that 3 years ago today I was walking down the isle!! Time goes by so fast! All throughout today Wayne and I have stopped each other and said... What where you doing 3 years ago right now? It is so fun to think back to that day and remember all the little things that lead up to us meeting at the front of Highlands Church in front of all of our family and friends and saying the most important words of love to each other! I took half a day at work today so that we could spend it together. We went to a spa then a movie and soon we are headed out to dinner.... speaking of which I better go finish getting ready!! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!!!

Verse of the Day

Funny Cats!

This short video always makes me laugh, so I thought I would give it to all of you to watch to make your Monday just a little happier! :)
Well we had our Client Appreciation Event last night and I think it went very well!! I was excited to see quite a few designers that we have been trying to get into the showroom for years attend!! :) Overall I think that we had a great turnout and I am praying that we will receive some new business from it! We had tons of great food (which I took the remainder of to the Fire Station, they loved it!) lots of beautiful products and a beautiful atmosphere. I meant to take some pictures because I had candles throughout the showroom but forgot and when I arrived this morning the magical mother fairy had been in and cleaned up everything! Guess that is what mom's do... Lol

National Anthem

I was watching this and got goose bumps at how beautifully these 6 & 7 year old girls where singing the National Anthem and thought that I would share it with everyone! Aren't they great!!!

Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:6–7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Verse of the Day

Let all the earth fear the Lord;let all the people of the world revere him.For he spoke, and it came to be;he commanded and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations;he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.-Psalm 33:8-11

Our nation...

I woke up this morning feeling so sad for our nation. It may sound weird to say this but all I could think of this morning was Sodom and Gomorrah and how all the people lived un-Godly lives and how God came in and destroyed them. I am not saying this will happen to us, but it just made me stop and think... It feels (at least to me) that our country is like those two cities. The country seems to be all about "me, me,me" and living different lifestyles, etc... and it seems like God is just saying, "Fine here you go, you asked for this so now you got it!" It just makes me very, very sad..... I guess all any of us can do is pray and trust in the Lord because he has a plan and he is ultimately in control.

I don't know much about this blogging thing other than seeing a few of my friends pages..... My husband came to me one day and asked: " What is a Blog" I told him it is a site where you can inform your family and friends about the things going on in your life..... So, I guess we will try this out and see how it goes. I will try to keep it updated. Please let me know what you think and if there is anything specific you would like to know or see (since I am new at this it will probably take me a while to figure out how to do things, please be patient!) I would love to hear from you!!
