Melton Memories

We played hookie on Friday with my aunt & uncle and went out to the Texas Rangers spring training!! We had a great time goofing off and eating hot dogs! We all took turns taking a picture with the cow face!

So who knew that we could have so much fun at my mom's birthday party?!! I mean Wayne and I were the youngest by about 20 years, but hey those older ones still have moves! LOL We had such a great time!!! Here are some photos of us all taking turns with the Wii! We bowled, played baseball and golf then for the heck of it picked a shooting competition game that John won!! It was hard!! So I have been thinking a lot about life and how fragile it is this past weekend. On Saturday I was on my way to my brother-in-laws to drop something off and as I was at the intersection of Lone Mountain / Scottsdale Rd. I witnessed a horrible accident right in front of me! This is the first time I have ever seen an accident first hand. Let me tell you it scared the bageebee's out of me!! My first thought was, is this real?! It looked like something out of a movie, but after 2 seconds I backed up my car (because I was in the left turn lane and wanted to somewhat block the road so no one else would come up on us) I then jumped out of my car and ran up to one of the drivers. I won't go into all the details but it was very very bad!!! This guy had a very bad cut on his head and his legs were crush. I felt soooo bad inside because I wanted to help take this guys pain away (and believe me he had a lot of it) my heart was just hurting so bad for him. I tried to do what I cou...

What a great day! Wayne and I went hiking Saturday morning and then out to breakfast. We then ran home for a quick change then out the door to the Wildlife Zoo on the west side. We had a really good time! We walked through the new aquarium (doesn't compare to the one in Tenn.) then took our time strolling around looking at all the animals. We decided our favorite was the Porcupines and the Giraffe's. We saw so many cool animals though... Did you know there is one called a Singing Dog?!! I have posted all the photos on my picasa web page. We also saw this ostrich that just cracked us up because he kept snapping at the air like he was catching bugs or something but there was nothing there! We got a good laugh out of him! We then finished out the day with dinner out! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day like we did!! :)

I just wanted to tell you all Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope that you each get to spend a special day with your sweetheart! Wayne gave me 3 options for Valentine's Day (which totally caught me off guard) So I have opted for #2 which is going hiking at Pinnacle Peak Mountain followed by a trip out to the new Aquarium at the Wildlife Zoo then dinner at home together! :) Have a wonderful day!!!

I don't know how many of you are into Facebook, but I have really started to enjoy it! About 3-4 weeks ago I had a dream involving some people that I went to elementary school with (I have not talked to them since 8th grade, eeekk 21 years!) but I woke up feeling like God was really wanting me to try to find one girl in particular so thus my search on Facebook! Well, I found her, but not on facebook... through the process of looking for her I found quite a few girls that I had been friends with (we all went to school from pre-school - 8th grade, then lost touch when we went our seperate ways for high school) I was so excited!!! They in turn put me in touch with Cassie the girl I was looking for, who had been my best friend growing up!! It is so neat to talk with people and see how their lives are going and their beautiful children! :) If you have not tried facebook, I would recommend it, it is so much fun to find people that you have known your whole life.
