Melton Memories

Wow I can't believe that Cole has been in school for a month already!!  What blows me away even more is knowing that Cody starts Tuesday!! Where oh where do the days go?!   Cole seems to be loving school as a 1st grader!  There are 4 new children in his class but otherwise its all the same children that were in his Kindergarten class so he is very comfortable with all of them.  He is also taking a Robotics class after school until the end of October and LOVES it!  His teacher said he is very talented when it comes to legos (which is what they are using to build the robots then power them using an ipad). Here's to a great year!! I love how the school has each child release a balloon the first day!  

We really enjoy camping!  So when we found out Cole had a half day in school last week we decided to jump in the truck and go!  Luckily my dad was able to join us this time. :)  Even though it rained most of Friday night we still had a fun time playing games in the trailer and woke up to a sunny Saturday morning.  We did some exploring and shooting.  I think we just may go again soon.... :) Our little set up.  Our site is actually quite large though.  We were talking about goats and getting out on rock ledges so I couldn't pass up the dare... I can't believe that Cole starts school again next week!!  Where has the summer gone?  We were talking about this last night at dinner and we feel like the summer has been just as busy as the school year.  Between VBS, my finger surgery, flying to Oklahoma for a new truck, Cody's Birthday and him learning to swim, our CA trip and Camping this summer has flown by.  With each passing event I come to realize more and more how quickly the months and years are flying by and our boys are growing up so fast!!  They aren't little anymore. :*( VBS with Madison as his teacher VBS with Emily and Hailey as his teacher Somewhere in Amarillo with Wayne's new truck.  Flew to OK city and drove home.
