Melton Memories

Wow.... I can't believe our little bug turned 3 this weekend!!  Everyone will tell you it all goes by in the blink of an eye and it is true!  I can remember to the hour having Cody on June 25th.  He is such a blessing to our household!  He couldn't be more different than Cole, yet alike in several ways.  He is feisty, energetic, loving, snugly, kind hearted and I could go on and on.  He tries so hard to be a big boy like Cole but is still my little baby!!! Time needs to slow down so that we can continue to savor these moments with him!   Happy Birthday Cody Bugs We Love You! Big into Ninja turtles right now!

Wow so much has happened since my last post... I am so bad at keeping up lately!   Cole finished his first year of school!! I can't believe he is starting Kindergarten in August!  We just loved his teachers but are also excited to see him grow with his new school! We went to the local library with Grandpa.  Cole LOVES reading!!!  After we left the library we were on our way down to visit Gigi and ended up having an accident in my new car.  :*(   Luckily it was not my fault, and no one was hurt, but still sad to see my new car damaged.  We've been doing a lot of swimming!!!! Memorial weekend... The boys wanted to show Grandpa that they were soldiers like him!  More swimming with friends!  The boys finally got their new bunk beds!!!  This is Cody's first time not being in a crib and he has been doing great!!  We finally got the rest of their things moved into the room this weekend...

About a week or so ago I decided to go out exploring and take the boys to a new place.  I have lived in AZ all my life and I still can't believe I never knew this museum was around!!  Needless to say the boys loved it!!! When you walk in the door this is who greets you! Whoa big shark!! Favorite... Pterodactyl He eating me Mommy!!! We decided to take a late Spring Break this year.  We usually go up to CO the end of May but thought this year it might be fun to go earlier.  Other than Cole getting sick the night before we left and being that way the whole week we had a good, relaxing trip!  He was a trooper, even though he was not feeling good and had fevers almost every day, with a little ibuprofen he was able to perk up a little each day and have some fun.   We stopped at what we call the elephant feet outside of Tuba City for lunch and to let the boys stretch and run off some energy.   Cole was pretty high up... the mom in me was kinda freaked out but daddy kept reminding me that he needed to be a boy and learn.  Needless to say I tried to look the other way.   If you look close enough you will see us in the shadows.
