Pool time!!

Image
When we moved into our house almost 8 years ago we got a spa.  Wayne loves it for his back.  I am not much of a water person so I rarely make an appearance in the spa.  LOL  At the end of last summer Cole discovered that he really liked the spa!  Well we've had the spa "closed" for the winter and Wayne decided to open it back up several weeks ago only to find out that the control panel went out. After a lot of back and forth and some frustration, finding out the company that made the spa is no longer in business, he found the parts he needed and replaced the panel.  It is now up and running in perfect order... Cole asks to go in every day!  Cody seems to have gotten my lack of enthusiasm for water so it has taken about a week of getting in and only sitting on the highest of steps before he finally decided to take the plunge.  Now all 3 of my boys can enjoy their "spa pool" as Cole puts it while I stand on the deck taking pictures and handing ou...

Looking back I realize I haven't posted since Valentine's Day!  How can a month go by so quickly?!  Seems like we have been pretty busy over the last month.  Here are just a few things that we did.     Wayne and I took the boys up to Prescott for the day to enjoy the cooler weather.  We ate lunch in town then brought them to a small zoo outside of town before going home through Jerome.  Of course I forgot to take pictures of Jerome or the zoo.   Next Rocky?! The boys and I on the steps to the Court House. Wayne helping Cody up and down all the steps. So many steps you have to take a break halfway through.  LOL Looking at the War Memorial     We also had our Texas family in town for a visit.      Spent a few hours at the Butterfly Museum with my Dad and Aunt Judy from TX.           Went to a going away party for my step-s...

Valentine's weekend

Image
We started out our Valentine's weekend on Friday night because Wayne had to work this weekend.  We decided to go to the shooting range and then see American Sniper.  It was a very good movie, sad as well.  Wayne worked Saturday so I took the boys and all the dogs to get their shots (not the boys) at a clinic and was very happy to see that it was my old vet that was doing the vaccines.  Yesterday Wayne's Capt. suggested he take a vacation day that was open and come home to spend time with us.  So after church we headed out to Prescott with the boys.  It was so nice!!! We had lunch and walked around the town square.  We then took the boys to a little tiny zoo outside of town.  To finish off the day we drove home through Jerome as Wayne had never been.  Really neat to see all the houses & businesses built into the side of the mountain.  We topped out the night watching Monsters University (the boys favorite movie right now).  ...

Some favorites....

This past week or so has been a little off.  Cole got a stomach flu bug which lasted a little over a  week.  On top of that (after taking him to the doctor) we found out he had something called Fifths Disease (or slapped face fever).  He woke up with red marks on his face and it looked like he had been slapped in the face.  It was so weird!  I am glad to report he seems to finally be over everything and returning to normal.  His weight was starting to concern us (since he is a picky eater already) with him being sick and not eating for almost a week I was getting nervous.  Yesterday he finally felt well enough to eat and boy did he eat a lot!!!  Yay! While Cole was sick I spent a lot of time just hanging out around the house with the boys (Wayne was working overtime).  I realized that over the past month or so I have neglected to take out my camera... I have been using my cell phone so much.  I decided to get out th...
