Melton Memories

My Cody bug is growing up to quickly!! He is already 9 months old and I seriously feel like I just had him!  We had his DR appt. this morning and he is 29" long!  WHAT!!  No wonder all his pants look like shorts on him!!!!  Here are a few shots I got of him while his big brother was napping so he could play by himself.  Tucker had to make sure he was in some photos as he loves to hang around Cody and let Cody pull his hair I mean pet him.

We finally got out one of the toys that Cole loved (and still seems too) for Cody the other day.  Cody really seems to be enjoying it as well!  We started out putting a blanket or two around him because we were not sure how he would do on his own, but as you can see towards the end he is doing great!!     Cole showing Cody how everything works Leaning a little but loving that he can walk in circles around all the toys Cole consoling Cody (sorry its a little blurry) Finally understanding that he can stand!! We went for our annual Colorado trip this year.  We had a really nice time even though we were all sick for most of the trip.  It is amazing how much difference a year makes.  This year all Cole wanted to do was go outside in his snowsuit and play in the snow, last year we had the hardest time just getting his suit on!  There was not as much snow as we would have liked but it was still nice to get away to something different. We discovered a cute little train museum behind the train depot that we never knew was there!  How could I have been coming here my whole life and never know it existed??  Cole loved it even thought we only had 15 mins to run through before they closed.        Cody in his snow suit making faces. Yesterday we celebrated Wayne's Birthday.  We started out the day volunteering in the 2 year old classroom at church where one of the kids threw up on Wayne!  LOL Afterwards we went to breakfast then picked up the boys at my mom's to head home for a nap.  (I of course got sick this weekend so I needed a nap.) Once up we headed back over to my mom's to take some family photos for our Christmas card and have dinner.  Wayne had requested ribs and red velvet cake, so we obliged.  A good time was had by all!!
