Melton Memories

Father's Day we spread our time over 2 days and had a really good time. Saturday we went to Wayne's sister Lori's house to celebrate a birthday, anniversary & father's day. We ended up playing Wii bowling and everyone (including his mom) got in on the action! It was a lot of fun. Sunday we went to my mom and step-dad's house for swimming and bbq pizza. John had found a recipe for pizza dough that you could cook on the grill and it was awesome! Unfortunately we did not get down to see my dad as he was moving this past weekend, but we did wish him a Happy Father's Day! Here are a few pictures of our fun weekend. Here are just a few examples of why I think animals are so wonderful, I could not imagine living without them! They each have such different personalities yet one thing always seems to be the same... they are all happy! Just look at the "smiles" on their faces! :) Happy Monday! My oldest baby Neon, how could you not love this face! Chloe boe always smiling! Kota attempting to smile (but he is just not that good at it!) LOL

Why is it that I love things like lush green lawns, big green tree's, lush vegetation yet I can not seem to keep anything green alive?! Try as I may to use all the plant foods out there things that I plant always seem to die! :( Prime example below.... my dead plant by the front door that looks like a squashed daddy long legs spider! Guess I should stick to faux plants! LOL

Hwy 151 in Flagstaff that we traveled to our camping site for the next 3-4 days! Our weekend consisted of camping!! Woo Hooo!! As we sat and thought about it we realized that we had not been camping in 4 long years! The last camping adventure we had was when Wayne took me up to the Rim and proposed (and to be honest I couldn't wait to get home and make our announcement so we didn't end up staying to do any camping!) So we thought what should we do this weekend since Wayne had the whole 4 days off... well since it was pretty much 4 years to the date of his proposal we decided camping was the best choice!! We knew that it was predicted to rain... and rain it did... but we still had a great time building fires, hiking, romping around on the ranger (Wayne's friend lent us) and playing games. The dogs had a wonderful time too! Chloe seemed to enjoy joining us on the front seat of the ranger as we raced full bore down the wet and muddy roads while Neon stayed back at camp ...

Just wanted to send out a post saying Happy Memorial Weekend! Thank you to all the service men and women who have or still are fighting for our country and our freedom!! I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend with your families! Wayne and I are heading out camping and are very excited! Last time we went camping was 4 years ago last week when he proposed to me on the Rim, so we are really looking forward to this weekend come rain or shine ( preferably shine!) Mud and cold here we come.... Woo Hoo!!!

Well after 12 years I did something that I swore I would never do.... I had Neon shaved! It seems like his shedding is worse this year than previous years. I vacuum and turn around and there are more tuffs of hair on the floor, so after talking with Wayne (he pretty much convinced me) I decided to do it. I had a mobile groomer come to my work, she was really nice and took her time with him! If anyone out there needs a groomer I will give you her number. So without further adue...... Here is the new and improved Neon!!
