Wow, it is hard for me to think that Christmas is just 1 week away! Wayne did a great job in doing almost all of the shopping and my job is to wrap! I like wrapping gifts anyway, so it works out perfect for me. Tonight we are going to make more cookies to give out to our neighbors! Only 3 more days until we leave for our Pinetop trip with friends, we will be there for 3 days then come home for Christmas, then head out for Colorado!! Woo Hoo!! Well, I better run, have to go pick up my car (having it serviced before our trip) Safety first, don't want any issues like our last trip to CO! Those of you who have seen the pictures and heard the story of our near death know what I am talking about.... :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas trees

Here are our 2 Christmas tree's. The top one is a real one that we put in our family room with colored lights. The one on the bottom is the artificial one that has all of the ornaments on it that are from when I was little. They both turned out great!! If you click on the picture it should bring it up in a large size to see some of the ornaments.

Working hard.... or hardly working... You decide

I have to tell you all that I am so proud of my mom for raising me & teaching me to be so independent and to be able to do all of the things that I am able to do (as good as any guy!). Yesterday I unloaded 3,000lbs of wood flooring with the forklift and I have to say.... I love driving that thing! It is sooo much fun! I zip here and there in the back lot moving things to and fro while all the guys next door at the blueprint company sit outside watching and cheering me on! I think that it is funny for them to watch me dressed in my nice work clothes with sneakers on! LOL This morning I helped to unload (50) 85lbs rolls of rubber carpet pad with John. Who says I don't work out?! Well, I just wanted to acknowledge my great mom for teaching me how to work hard with the best of them! Granted I move a little slower now that I did in my 20's, but it could be worse I could be hiring labor guys and sitting on my butt directing everyone, Not for me!! That is a small look int...

Only 21 shopping days left.....

Well it is starting to feel a little bit more like Christmas in our house! Mom and I put up a small tree in our living room over the weekend and decorated it with all the ornaments from when I was a little kid. It was fun to go through everything and have my mom remind me where each one came from, most were handmade by both of my grandmothers!! Wayne and I then spent most of the day Sunday decorating the whole front yard!!! It looks like a candy land! :) I will try to post some photos in the next few days. I also put up lighted garland around the house. We are going to go this weekend to get a small live tree for our family room as Wayne really enjoys the live ones! :)

Christmas already?!

Well is everyone as stuffed as me from Thanksgiving?!! I think I gained 3 lbs just from the desserts! LOL I hope everyone had a great day with their families. Wayne had to work so I braved the festivities alone... Went to my grandparents and ate the biggest dinner I think that we have ever had there... As Gramps said "you would never know we are supposed to be in a recession". After being there for several hours I then headed of to Wayne's family for more dessert. We played games and had a great time!! So now today we start the Christmas decorating! It is still hard for me to believe that it is Christmas time already. Don't get me wrong it is my favorite time of year, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet. I better get going... I am meeting mom for coffee then the 2 of us are going to decorate the inside of the house while Wayne is working then we will light up the outside tomorrow after church. Happy Holidays!!
